What We Do
At T.O.U.C.H Outreach, we’re walking the neighborhoods, building relationships, and staying close to what’s actually happening in our communities. We are trained to step in and de-escalate, interrupt cycles of violence, and connect people to the resources they need before harm escalates.

We are reimagining public safety through a public health approach and treating violence as something that can be prevented instead of simply responded to. Through outreach, community engagement, and violence prevention, we create spaces where people are safe, supported, and connected, and where the community knows it has its own back.
WHO WE ARE
Our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly in the actions of our initiatives. From the moment we started our work in 2020, we understood that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch T.O.U.C.H Outreach. We strive to make a positive change in all of our pursuits.

Our First Year of Progress
See the difference we've made in the community in just 6 months of consistent outreach efforts.
From May to December 2021 we've had nearly 8,900 interactions with the public and our teams of Violence Interrupters have resolved more than 1,500 conflicts.
